A netbook in the company?
Set as anyone netbook laptop that is small in size, which could be less than 12 "(inches), no distinction between netbooks and ultra-portable.
A computer of this kind is a perfect work tool for business and people need to move constantly, entrepreneurs, freelancers and employees in general for many professions.
If we buy a netbook we consider ourselves as a series of questions that need to use the same:
- I really need a laptop? Can I go with a mobile phone, BlackBerry or a digital assistant (PDA)?
- How many consecutive hours of work I can not connect the computer?
- I need internet at any time? Where do I have working connection? There will be wireless networks available? I need a mobile Internet access?
- I work with the tools and programs I need?
What gives us a laptop with these characteristics? The advantages of a netbook:
- Attractive price, cheaper than a laptop-sized "normal" (around € 300).
- Better mobility, less weight (maximum 1-2kg), occupies less space. Easy to transport.
- We have almost all the capabilities of any conventional computer, Internet, spreadsheets, PDF documents, Windows system environment (or Linux) and compatible with any program.
- The duration of the battery can work half day (4h), and some models reach the nearly 8-10h.

Disadvantages of a netbook:
- Little power, some applications may not work or go too slow, such as design applications, CAD, 3D ...
- Limited functions, but today is not a big problem not having CD-DVD when there are USB sticks and external hard drives.
- Small screen, you have to work many hours can tire the eye.
- Reduced keyboard, although this aspect has improved recently.
Some of the utilities and functions that can be found in most netbooks:
- We use them for live presentations of a product or service of our company through the screen, or even connect it to an external screen or video projector. Some models include a touch screen are called tablet PCs.
- Allows access to the Internet through any wireless network (wireless / wifi) that is available. We can also purchase a USB modem with a card from any mobile telecommunications company.
- We can synchronize contacts, calendar and media files with other devices via Bluetooth adapters.
I hope this article will be clearer what can and what can not be done with a mini-laptop.
